Steven Kovich, a Royal Oak, Michigan native, discovered his knack for photography early on. With an innate talent for capturing life’s beauty, he began his journey as a photographer in his sixth-grade years. From the outset, Kovich demonstrated an extraordinary ability to see and immortalize the world in unique ways.
Starting his career in the photography industry, Kovich worked with prestigious publications like Detroit Monthly Magazine and Style Magazine. He later became the official team photographer for notable sports teams such as the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, and Tampa Bay Rays, capturing action and exclusive behind-the-scenes moments.
His expertise extends beyond sports, providing professional services for major automotive companies like General Motors, Ford Motor Company, and Chrysler. While initially based in Michigan, Kovich expanded his reach, establishing residences in New York City and St. Petersburg FL.
Since relocating to St. Petersburg, Florida in 2006, Kovich has amassed a clientele including the Tampa Bay Rays, Duke Energy, Publix, ABC, Edward Jones, and various esteemed hotels like Ritz Carlton, Marriott, and Hyatt.
Throughout his 25-year career, Kovich has earned numerous accolades, including multiple wins in the American Advertising Awards and recognition from Print magazine and How magazine competitions. His portfolio showcases captivating images of celebrities across various industries, including actors, musicians, athletes, and politicians.
With a passion for editorial work, Kovich co-published the highly acclaimed Tampa Bay Beaches Visitors Guide for nine consecutive years, earning the title of “Best Visitors Guide in Florida.” Four times.
